About the Winery
Ronchi Di Cialla is a historic family estate founded in 1970 by Paolo and Dina Rapuzzi in the Cialla valley, a small natural amphitheater within the Colli Orientali del Friuli. The Rapuzzi family famously saved the Schioppettino grape from near extinction, and today is the only producer in Italy that exclusively produces wines from five indigenous varieties: Schioppettino, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Ribolla, Verduzzo, and Picolit, earning a 'biodiversity friendly' certification from the World Biodiversity Association.
