Renato Motalli is an iconic fourth-generation family winery founded in 1880 in San Giacomo di Teglio, Valtellina, where Renato has been crafting artisanal Nebbiolo wines since his first vintage in 1971 on two hectares of historic terraced vineyards in Valgella. A benchmark traditionalist who ages his wines exclusively in old chestnut casks, Motalli is revered as one of Valtellina's most classic and influential small producers, creating wines of tremendous aromatic clarity, elegance, and age-worthiness that stand among the finest expressions of mountain Nebbiolo.
