About the Winery

Primaterra is a winery project on Mount Etna, with vineyards in Contrada Sciaranuova between Passopisciaro and Randazzo at 850 meters above sea level, producing Etna DOC wines from the volcano's native varieties. Founded in 2003 and launched with the 2009 vintage, the estate focuses on crafting wines that express the volcanic terroir of Etna's northern slopes, where extreme diurnal temperature shifts and mineral-rich soils create wines of remarkable freshness and complexity.
