About the Winery

Cantine Polvanera is a family-run organic winery founded in 2002 by oenologist Filippo Cassano, located between Gioia del Colle and Acquaviva delle Fonti in the Primitivo Gioia del Colle DOC zone. The estate's distinctive cellar is carved 8 meters deep into limestone rock, surrounded by dry stone walls and downy oaks, where Cassano produces acclaimed organic wines from Primitivo and other autochthonous varieties without the use of oak, achieving recognition including Tre Bicchieri from Gambero Rosso and 5 Grappoli from Bibenda.
