About the Winery
Platania Giuseppe is a small producer in Castiglione di Sicilia, on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, and a member of Produttori Etna Nord, a collective of small growers crafting contrada wines from native Etna varieties. The estate produces Etna DOC wines from hand-picked indigenous grapes including Nerello Mascalese and Carricante, grown on the ancient lava soils between 700 and 900 meters above sea level.
