About the Winery
Pieve Santa Restituta is Angelo Gaja's acclaimed Brunello di Montalcino estate, acquired in 1994 as the family's first expansion beyond their Piedmontese heartland of Barbaresco and Barolo. Spanning 27 hectares in Montalcino's southwest subzone at 330-400 meters elevation on clay-calcareous soils with galestro, the estate produces three Brunello DOCG wines from estate-grown Sangiovese Grosso: the blended Pieve Santa Restituta, single-vineyard Rennina, and the prestigious Sugarille.
