About the Winery
Pietro Caciorgna is an Etna wine project by renowned Tuscan oenologist Paolo Caciorgna, who fell in love with Mount Etna in 2005 and began acquiring small parcels of ancient, ungrafted Nerello Mascalese vines on the volcano's northern slopes at 700-800 meters. The estate produces wines from pre-phylloxera vineyards in contrade like Marchesa and Passo Cannone, with farming that has been organic since inception and biodynamic since 2012, expressing the haunting elegance and volcanic minerality that make Etna one of the world's most exciting wine regions.
