About the Winery
Pietradolce is a prestigious winery in Solicchiata, on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, founded in 2005 by brothers Michele and Mario Faro on 35 hectares between 600 and 900 meters above sea level. The estate has quickly achieved cult status for its focus exclusively on indigenous Etna varieties, particularly Nerello Mascalese and Carricante, with their flagship Vigna Barbagalli Etna Rosso earning 100 points from James Suckling for its extraordinary expression of volcanic terroir.
