About the Winery

Founded in 2018 by Chul Kyu Pelosa (Andrea), Cave Monaja is a boutique winery near Aosta that has recovered over 30 small, abandoned vineyard parcels spanning 2 hectares across nine municipalities. The estate produces approximately 7,000 bottles annually from 60-80 year old vines of indigenous varieties including Petit Rouge, Fumin, and Vien de Nus, vinified naturally with minimal sulfites and no filtration, including the rare 'Monaja 300' from a 300-year-old monumental vine in Saint-Denis.
