About the Winery

Paternoster has been one of Basilicata's most important wineries since 1927, when Anselmo Paternoster first began bottling wine in Barile on the slopes of Monte Vulture. The 20-hectare estate spans several crus of old vineyards between 450-600 meters altitude, with their flagship Don Anselmo Aglianico del Vulture DOC paying tribute to the founding winemaker; since 2016, the historic property has been paired with the expertise of the Tommasi family.
