Badia a Coltibuono is one of Chianti Classico's most historic estates, founded as an abbey in 1051 by the Vallombrosan monks and owned by the Stucchi Prinetti family since 1846. The estate encompasses 150 acres of certified organic vineyards around Gaiole in Chianti, producing iconic Sangiovese-based wines while preserving rare indigenous varieties including Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, Colorino, and Foglia Tonda alongside a renowned cooking school and agriturismo.
