About the Winery

Giodo is the personal project of renowned Italian winemaker Carlo Ferrini, who in addition to his acclaimed Brunello di Montalcino estate produces Alberelli di Giodo from 80-100-year-old Nerello Mascalese vines on the northern slopes of Mount Etna at 950 meters elevation. The tiny production of approximately 7,000 bottles comes from less than one hectare of ungrafted, bush-trained vines cultivated beyond the Etna DOC limit, resulting in wines labeled Sicilia DOC that capture the volcanic minerality and elegance of this extreme terroir.
