Nuzzella

About the Winery

Nuzzella is a small, organic winery founded in 2014 by Nicola Oteri on the northeastern slopes of Mount Etna, near Piedimonte Etneo, on land where volcanic 'terre nere' meet ancient sedimentary 'terre bianche.' The estate farms 4 hectares of Nerello Mascalese, Carricante, and Catarratto vines trained on espalier at approximately 500 meters elevation, producing around 15,000 bottles annually through spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention in the cellar.
