About the Winery

Steiger Kalena is a young winery founded in 2014 by Giulio Steiger and Margarita Cherubini in Casacalenda, Molise, on 12.5 hectares of vineyards planted at 300-350 meters with Montepulciano, Aglianico, and Tintilia. Named after the ancient name for Casacalenda ('Kalena'), the estate practices organic farming across clay, calcareous, and sandy soils near Lake Guardialfiera, producing elegant red and rosé blends that have become the first-ever Molise wines in the Kermit Lynch portfolio.
