About the Winery

Pitzner Winery & Suites is run by brothers Markus and Thomas Puff, who took over the family business in 2014 at their historic 700-year-old estate in Cardano, just outside Bolzano, where the name 'Pitzner' derives from the old German word for gunsmith. The winery manages vineyards on steep slopes with deep, sandy weathered porphyry soils, producing characterful wines including Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Schiava, and Lagrein that reflect the unique microclimate and rich heritage of the Valle Isarco entrance.
