Podere Forte

About the Winery

Podere Forte is a 1,200-acre biodynamic estate in Castiglione d'Orcia in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Val d'Orcia, founded in 1997 by Pasquale Forte as a self-sufficient agricultural project. The estate produces Orcia DOC and IGT Toscana wines predominantly from Sangiovese and Bordeaux varieties on schist- and clay-rich soils at elevations between 1,150 and 2,150 feet, alongside olive oil, honey, cereals, and traditional livestock including Chianina cattle.
