Monterosso

About the Winery

Monterosso is an organic-certified winery on the southeastern slopes of Mount Etna, near Zafferana Etnea, founded by three friends who acquired their first half-hectare vineyard in 2014 around the 600-meter-high Monte Rosso volcanic cone. The estate works 70-100-year-old Nerello Mascalese and Carricante vines trained in the ancient Alberello Etneo style on lava stone terraces, fermenting with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and amphora to produce wines of volcanic purity.
