Monteleone

About the Winery

Monteleone is a small, family-run winery on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, founded in 2017 by the husband-and-wife team of Giulia Monteleone and Benedetto Alessandro in the Contrada Sciambro near the Alcantara River. The estate produces Etna DOC wines from organically farmed vineyards of Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, and Carricante, vinifying each site separately to highlight the distinct volcanic and clay-limestone characteristics of this cooler, less-explored Etna subzone.
