About the Winery

Cupano is a distinctive Brunello di Montalcino estate founded in 1994 by Lionel Cousin and Ornella Tondini on a pristine south-facing hill above the Ombrone River near Camigliano. The 35-hectare organic estate, with 6.4 hectares of vineyard on unique sandy-clay soils with cobble substructures of ancient marine origin, crafts Brunello in a Burgundian-influenced style with aging in French barriques and Slavonian oak, producing approximately 13,000 bottles annually.
