About the Winery

Giovanna Madonia is an estate in Bertinoro, the 'Romagna Balcony,' with 14 hectares of organically farmed vineyards planted mainly to Sangiovese and Albana using the ancient alberello (bush) system. Founded after World War II by Giovanna's grandfather Pietro, the estate now produces around 60,000 bottles annually including the acclaimed Ombroso Riserva, guided by winemaking consultant Attilio Pagli.
