About the Winery

Lupinc is one of the pioneering estates of the Carso, the dramatic limestone plateau stretching across the border between northeastern Italy and Slovenia, founded by Danilo Lupinc and now led by his son Matej. Working with mature vineyards and native varieties such as Terrano, Vitovska, and Malvasia Istriana, the family produces wines that capture the mineral, windswept character of this rugged terroir near Duino Aurisina.
