About the Winery

Leone de Castris is one of Puglia's most historic wineries, founded in 1665 in Salice Salentino, with over three and a half centuries of continuous winemaking tradition. The estate played a pivotal role in elevating Salento wines to international recognition, producing iconic wines from Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera, and Primitivo, including the famous Five Roses rosé, Italy's first rosé exported to the United States.
