About the Winery
Founded in 2009 by Ilaria Bavastro in Quart, Le Vieux Joseph was a pioneering natural wine estate in the Aosta Valley, cultivating nearly 2 hectares of old, ungrafted vines on steep terraced slopes around Chetoz. The estate produced approximately 6,000 bottles annually of three distinctive wines including the white 'Petit Prince' from Pinot Gris, and two reds 'Mariadzo' and 'Clos de Cartésan' from rare indigenous varieties, vinified with minimal sulfites and no oenological additives.
