Le Boncie

About the Winery

Le Boncie is a 4-hectare biodynamic micro-estate in Castelnuovo Berardenga, Chianti Classico, founded in 1983 and now directed by Giovanna Morganti, daughter of legendary oenologist Enzo Morganti. The estate produces minuscule quantities of IGT Toscana wines including the flagship 'Le Trame' from ancient Tuscan varieties grown at high density using alberello training, having voluntarily declassified from Chianti Classico DOCG in 2010-2011 as a philosophical protest.
