About the Winery
Cantina Lapone is a boutique winery located near Orvieto in Umbria, owned and operated by Piero and Ramona, who cultivate 35 hectares of land with 20 dedicated to vineyards across a beautiful valley near Castel Viscardo. Founded in 2002 with their first vintage in 2011, the estate grows 14 different grape varieties and produces about 30,000 bottles annually, with a particular focus on white wines from the volcanic soils of the Orvieto DOC including their expressive Orvieto blend and Rameto, a skin-contact Pinot Grigio with a distinctive copper hue.
