About the Winery

Cantina Rizzo is a small family-run winery in Frascineto, within the Pollino National Park, founded in 1998 by Gennaro Rizzo and now led by his son Francesco. Spanning 20 hectares with 15 dedicated to vineyards, the estate cultivates rare native varieties including Montonico Pinto, Pecorello, Magliocco Canino, and Greco Nero, producing what is considered the rarest wine in Calabria from hand-harvested grapes grown at the foothills of Monte Pollino.
