About the Winery

Komic is a family winery in the Collio DOC, in the locality of Gardisciuta near Gorizia, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, now in its third generation of viticultors since grandparents Eugenio and Slavica first recognized the unique qualities of the ponca soils. In 1994, Claudio and his brother Francesco began bottling their line of white wines, and today the granddaughters Elisa and Sara continue the family tradition of crafting wines that speak to the unique terroir of the Collio hills.
