About the Winery

Joaquin is an acclaimed small winery in Montefalcione, Irpinia, founded in 1999 by Raffaele Pagano from a 250-year winemaking family, producing artisanal Taurasi and Fiano wines of unusual elegance from approximately 5 hectares of historic vineyards. Pagano crafts wines from pre-phylloxera Aglianico vines up to 200 years old in Paternopoli and ancient Fiano vineyards in Lapio, aging in locally made chestnut tonneaux rather than barriques to preserve the pure expression of terroir in each unique vintage.
