Jermann, founded in 1881 by Anton Jermann in Villanova di Farra, is one of Friuli's most iconic wineries, now run by Silvio Jermann who revolutionized the estate in 1971 by creating Vintage Tunina, a groundbreaking blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Malvasia Istriana, Ribolla Gialla, and Picolit. The estate farms 170 hectares across two distinct terroirs, the Isonzo and Collio, and was a pioneer in using screwcap closures for premium wines, with the sustainable Ruttars cellar achieving CasaClimaWine certification when it opened on 07/07/07.
