About the Winery

Diego Conterno is an organic estate in Monforte d'Alba, founded in 2003 when Diego parted ways from Conterno-Fantino to pursue a more traditional winemaking philosophy. Farming 7.5 hectares with 2 hectares in the prized Ginestra cru, Diego and son Stefano craft classic Monforte Barolo through certified organic viticulture, long fermentations in cement tanks, and aging in traditional large oak botti, alongside notable plantings of the rare Nascetta white grape.
