About the Winery

Luigi Tecce is a fourth-generation winemaker in Paternopoli, in the Sud-Alta Valle subzone of Taurasi, who returned to his family's farmhouse in 1997 after his father's death and now crafts some of the most astonishing Taurasi wines from 5 hectares of old-vine Aglianico. His wines, including the iconic Taurasi Polifemo from 80+-year-old vines and the Irpinia Campi Taurasini Satyricon, ferment with native yeasts with nothing added or subtracted, reflecting a deeply traditional, old-school approach that has earned him a cult following among serious wine collectors.
