About the Winery

Bonavita is a small, organic winery in Faro Superiore, Messina, run by Giovanni Scarfone, producing Faro DOC wines from ancient native varieties including Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, and Nocera. The estate's vineyards sit on steep terraced hillsides overlooking the Strait of Messina, where the meeting of two seas creates a unique microclimate for these rare indigenous grapes.
