About the Winery
Nicholas Altare is a promising young winemaker in Dogliani, fifth generation of a farming family, who began producing his own wine in 2015 after working with mentor Ferdinando Principiano. From approximately one hectare of organic vineyards in the San Luigi cru, he crafts elegant Dolcetto DOCG, Barbera, and Nebbiolo with spontaneous fermentations in concrete and minimal intervention, producing around 12,000 bottles annually.
