About the Winery
La Stoppa is a historic estate founded in the late 19th century in Rivergaro, Val Trebbia, Piacenza, and has been run by Elena Pantaleoni since 1991 with winemaker Giulio Armani. The 58-hectare property includes 30 hectares of organically farmed vineyards and 28 hectares of forest, producing iconic wines from indigenous varieties including Barbera, Bonarda, Malvasia di Candia, and Ortrugo, known for their characterful, terroir-driven expressions and long aging potential.
