About the Winery
Klanjscek is a small family-run winery in Oslavia, in the Collio Goriziano region near the Slovenian border, certified organic since 2016. The estate farms 3.5 to 4 hectares of vineyards, with the oldest vines dating back to 1978 when grandfather Mirko planted Riesling Italico, and today produces approximately 15,000 bottles annually of Pinot Grigio, Ribolla Gialla, and Riesling Italico using spontaneous fermentation on skins and aging in large oak barrels, continuing a family hospitality tradition that began with grandmother Hedvika's seasonal tavern ""Privada della Maestra"" in the 1970s.
