About the Winery
Il Verro is a small certified-organic winery in Acquavalle, Formicola, in the Alto Casertano area of Campania, dedicated to rescuing rare native grapes including Casavecchia, Pallagrello Bianco, Pallagrello Nero, and Coda di Pecora. Founded by Cesare Avenia and producing about 20,000 bottles from just 4 hectares of vines, the estate has become a reference point for varieties once prized by the Bourbon royal court in the 18th century.
