About the Winery

Grifalco was founded in 2004 by Fabrizio and Cecilia Piccin, who sold their Tuscan winery to start anew with Aglianico on the remote volcanic slopes of Monte Vulture in Basilicata. Practicing certified organic farming on immaculate vineyards at altitude, they produce four wines including their flagship Grifalco, aged in large old Slavonian oak barrels, revealing an elegant, feminine side of Aglianico without any new oak influence.
