About the Winery

Giovanni Canonica is a hidden gem in Barolo village, producing tiny quantities of traditional Barolo from just 1.5 hectares in the Paiagallo vineyard, plus inherited old vines in Grinzane Cavour. His wines are crafted with extreme traditionalism: no chemicals in the vineyard, 30-40 day macerations with indigenous yeasts, vertical hand pressing, and aging in cement and Slavonian oak botti.
