About the Winery
Tenuta Le Potazzine is a boutique Brunello estate in Montalcino founded in 1993 by Gigliola Giannetti and now run with her daughters Viola and Sofia, named after the lively coal tit birds that flutter through the vineyards. The 5-hectare estate, situated at over 500 meters altitude near Biondi-Santi's Il Greppo, produces about 35,000 bottles annually of pure Sangiovese Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino aged in large Slavonian oak barrels.
