About the Winery
Frecciarossa was founded in 1919 when Mario Odero, a Genovese who had lived in England, purchased the estate in Casteggio in the Oltrepò Pavese foothills. Now led by Valeria Radici Odero, the property was converted to certified organic farming between 2014-2017, producing wines from Pinot Nero, Riesling, Barbera, Croatina, and Uva Rara on clay-limestone soils, and was among the first Italian wines exported to the United States after Prohibition with export permit n. 19.
