About the Winery

J.G. Benda is a biodynamic winery in Montalcino founded by John Benda, who transitioned from a London finance career to establish 2 hectares of vineyards at 520-550 meters altitude near the Lume Spento pass. The estate practices biodynamic viticulture with spontaneous fermentation in large oak barrels, producing about 11,000 bottles annually of Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino from vineyards surrounded by 16 hectares of woodland.
