About the Winery

Fongoli is a historic family winery in Montefalco, Umbria, with four generations of winemaking tradition, now led by Angelo Fongoli and his wife Letizia, who have cultivated all 35-40 hectares of the estate using certified organic methods since 2013 and biodynamic practices. The estate produces wines from native varieties including Trebbiano Spoletino, Grechetto, Sangiovese, Montepulciano, and Sagrantino, with a philosophy of minimal intervention including native yeast fermentations and no additives, even forgoing sulfur in some wines, while aging select wines in amphorae from nearby Deruta.
