About the Winery

Flavio Roddolo is one of Piedmont's most traditional and reclusive artisan winemakers, farming 6 hectares in Monforte d'Alba and producing roughly 20,000 bottles annually from vineyards that have not been chemically treated in over 40 years. Now in his 77th year and with his 58th vintage, Roddolo crafts long-lived Barolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, and Nebbiolo through minimal intervention methods, spontaneous fermentation, and extended aging in neutral wood until he deems the wines ready for release.
