About the Winery

Emidio Pepe is one of Abruzzo's most iconic wineries, founded in 1964 by Emidio Pepe in Torano Nuovo, province of Teramo, though the family tradition dates to the late 19th century. Now in its fifth generation with Chiara De Iulis Pepe at the helm, the estate produces approximately 80,000 bottles annually from 15 hectares farmed biodynamically, focusing on long-aging Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo that are released when deemed ready rather than on a fixed schedule.
