About the Winery
Cantine PRO.VI.MA. is the oldest winery in Matelica, Marche, founded in 1932 as a cooperative of local viticultural producers in the upper Vallesina area. Today it unites approximately 80 member growers across 120-130 hectares of vineyards, producing around 100,000 bottles annually focused primarily on Verdicchio di Matelica DOC and DOCG Riserva. The cooperative combines tradition with modern technology to express the unique continental microclimate of the Matelica valley, where significant day-night temperature variations and diverse soils from clay to limestone create ideal conditions for this noble white grape.
