About the Winery
La Staffa is an organic winery founded in 1994 by the Baldi family in Staffolo, known as the 'Balcony of the Vallesina,' in the Castelli di Jesi area of Marche. Young winemaker Riccardo Baldi leads 12 hectares of vineyards at elevations of 400-550 meters, producing stunning Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi wines from calcareous clay soils uniquely rich in calcium carbonate. The estate has earned numerous accolades including 'Best Winemaker for Le Marche' at VinItaly 2018, crafting a range from Classico Superiore to single-vineyard Riservas and pet-nat, all with indigenous yeasts and minimal intervention.
