About the Winery
Vini Gagliardi is a historic family winery founded in the 1950s by Gino Gagliardi in Matelica, in the province of Macerata, Marche. The estate was the first in the province to produce Verdicchio di Matelica DOC in 1967 and the first to obtain the prestigious DOCG designation for Verdicchio di Matelica Riserva in 2009. Today, Umberto and Lara Gagliardi manage 11 hectares of organically farmed vineyards, with the flagship 'Maccagnano' Riserva aged 18 months in cement tanks, earning numerous accolades including Tre Bicchieri awards.
