About the Winery

Duca della Corgna, also known as Cantina del Trasimeno, is a cooperative winery founded in 1957 in Castiglione del Lago, Umbria, uniting approximately 200 grower members across 300 hectares in the Lake Trasimeno area. Named after the 16th-century Marquis Ascanio della Corgna, the winery is the only producer in the Trasimeno area to have successfully enhanced the native Trasimeno Gamay alongside Grechetto, Sangiovese, and traditional varieties, producing around 70,000 bottles annually of red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines.
