About the Winery

Dirupi was founded in 2004 in Ponte in Valtellina by childhood friends Pierpaolo Di Franco and Davide Fasolini, who farm 4.5 hectares of Nebbiolo vines scattered across 18 terraced sites in the prestigious subzones of Grumello, Inferno, Sassella, and Valgella. Their extreme high-altitude vineyards reach 650 meters on slopes of up to 70%, where all work is done by hand on sandy, poor soils, producing elegant Valtellina Superiore DOCG wines that express the pure alpine character of Chiavennasca.
