About the Winery

Contini is the oldest continuously running winery in Sardegna, founded in 1898 in Cabras, on the Sinis peninsula in west-central Sardinia by Salvatore Contini and now in its fifth generation of family ownership. The estate is most closely identified with Vernaccia di Oristano, the island's first DOC, and produces a wide range of wines from native varieties including long-aged Vernaccia riservas, Cannonau, Vermentino, Nieddera, and Bovale Sardo, alongside their acclaimed Karmis blend.
